I was watching a movie last night and a quote from that movie stayed with me. “You have to do what you have to do in order to be able to do what you want to do.” In my experience, many people I’ve interacted with want to jump straight to the top without earning it first.
That doesn’t happen.
If you’re not willing to dig ditches, chances are that you’ll never achieve what you want. Go out and become the best ditch digger ever and you’ll find that doors open for you by themselves.
